fettling pedal cars

new list - following italy and emma's little happening...

 

 

emma's car:

TO BE DONE BY GARAGE

replace other coolant hoses

repair magenton geared starter and fit

fix dodgy earth on fuel gauge

find wet weather wiring fault to rear light cluster

check all nuts and bolts for tightness

check brake fluid age/level and union integrity

check rear pads

replace wings

replace panels

respray

replace exaust manifold and collector

fabricate nice fog light bracket

 

TO BE DONE BY ME

paint wingstays and other bits with POR-15

araldite on the headrest mechanism so it doesn't catch everytime

do boot cover and tonneau on skin of car

araldite the dodgy bolt on the headrest

foam strips to protect paint where bonnet and chassis meet

get correct grommit for steering column

 

my car

VERY HIGH PRIORITY

replace filter housing to solve oil leak

solve dry sump breathing issue

balance the front wheels

check gearbox oil level

 

HIGH PRIOIRITY

replace knackered rod end gaitor

replace all the door poppers with black ones

find out why alternators keep failing

velco MFU in place

foam padding in battery tray

make seats adjustable with cunning stud idea

 

MEDIUM PRIORITY

replace wheel studs - half done

repack wheel bearings - half done

replace back stay rollbar bolts with suitably long ones. ie 1cm longer

make dry sump tank dipstick and work out what the correct level is

refil extinguisher

find, drill out and fit front exhaust mount

 

LOW PRIORITY

change the shiny door studs for black ones

make ali ducting for air to filter (ali now sourced) then do in carbon

repair LHS wings with carbon and flowcoat

fit immobiliser

fit two more SPA gauges

fit Stack tacho/speedo

tidy wiring/gut the rubbish parts

fit carbon light blocks

source and fit high level brake light

touch up paint on scuttle / bonnet / side of car

fit black bonnet catches

fit MAP sensor once imprived software is available

paint the boot black inside

POR-15 steering rod ends and roll bar blade
