fordy Posted June 20, 2003 Author Share Posted June 20, 2003 I have Andrew Tomkins old 1400SS ex race engine (he is in the process of upgrading to 1800 courtesy of Peter C). Fine engine it is too, especially fitted with one of those lightweight flywheels! Will start to take apart my old 1400SS engine next week. Am intrugued to get the offending bearing out for a looksee! Work begins on the 1800 in the autumn - just pleased to be back on the road at the moment. I'll be blasting the Essex roads big time from 8.00am on Sunday morning with a few other mates. Last time we went out I limped home with engine trouble which clearly was a precursor to troubles to come at Cadwell. Finally get to do the 'Finchingfield Run'. I bet you know it welll Gary.
