weather is looking ok at the moment here but then they did say last Sunday would be wet and we got sunburnt on the beach with the kids ...

And Saturday and Monday are both showing as wet so it doent leave much room for error

Boonie,

Yes we will be there on the Saturday...am not sure which field we will be in, it depends how busy they are when we get there...we can all meet up somewhere else before hand if you like...

Either you can come to ours or maybe the McDonalds on the roundabout...

*wink*

Boonie,

Hadn't even looked at that picture on the web cam until just now *eek* It was Alex's leaving gift from work...I am sure the sheep will reappear again soon *wink*

Allen, Boonie,

Will mail you with details of where to find us - I can't remember, but think we usually head down to Duxford for about 12ish - they say flying starts at 2, but it sometimes starts earlier than the published time...if I include mobile details then hopefully we can all meet up at some point *wink*

☹️ they aren't listing any modern aircraft this year...and before anyone starts I know it is the flying legends show, but they usually have at least a Harrier - which is of course legendary - and a Tornado.

*wink* *thumbup* Cool.

Look forward to seeing some of you there. Are you coming down on Sunday?

Ohohoh and they have the Red Arrows confirmed for the September show as well - not quite as good as a Harrier, but not bad 😬

We are planning to go on Sunday if the weather forecast is good, but if the forecast is good for Saturday and bad for Sunday we may switch.

I'm still hoping to be able to borrow a radio scanner so we can listen in to the chatter between the tower and the planes

Steve,

☹️ Really sorry to hear about your car - hope that kid gets all that is coming to him. Know how it feels, last year some woman in a BMW was going too fast on a narrow road and trashed the whole of the back of our car, she then drove off. I am still suffering from the whiplash and we were stopped at the time!! Still compensation claim should soon be settled - so she'll pay...

As for Duxford, come along in any car you like, no one will take the mickey...we often go in the Honda because you can stand on it and get a better view than you would in the Se7en *eek* 😬

Hope you get your car back better than ever soon!

*wink*

Em and I have cunning plans...

Could Emma drive down Friday night and then leave her car at the house of a friendly shedder near Duxford but easy to find for us both 🤔

Then I can give her a lift the last bit home.

Then on the Sunday Em only has to drive for 3 hours from cam and not all the way from london.

Hoop, Em

Shouldn't be a problem, I am sure we can look after it for a couple of days. We're only 10 minutes or so from Duxford and just off the A11 so you should be able to find us without any trouble.

*wink*

ISTR the flying starts at 2pm but because the place gets so busy and there is so much to look at its best to get there as early as is practical - IMHO 10am is a good time
