m1key
Does anyone know of a tacho that incorporates shift lights? Ideally, I'd just like a simple replacement for the standard tacho with say 5 LED's to identify the actual revs. The standard tacho has all the available info and power, so surely it would be a simple job to incorporate the two. A bit of googling has turned up a number of shift ligh add-ons, but nothing interesting. I've considered rev-limiters, but I'm not sure I want to go to the expense, I'm more interested in getting the shifts right than protecting the engine (and I wan't something that imprresses my passengers!) I'd also be interested in a source for the caterham style switches (wipers, hazards etc circa '87) as some of mine are looking a little tired and I'm trying to tidy up the interior. And while we're on instrumentation... If I was to replace the original tacho with a new model and suddenly the speedo begins to look all out of date. Is it possible to replace the speedo with a new style example clocked up to the correct mileage - so to speak? Greatful for any info, Mike. c7kjt
Stack do rev counters with shift lights (and plenty of other goodies built in) Good places for car electrical bits: Europa Specialist Spares & Vehicle Wiring Products (can't remember URLs off-hand but a quick Google should take you too them). Other option is Demon Tweeks - if only for research purposes, they certainly do the Caterham style rocker switches (at least one of the above does too) but I'm not sure how price compares to Caterham themselves. m1key
Thanks, that's the kind of thing I was after - didn't realise how expensive though!
