Alternative Batteries?

I have found a battery type which although physically slightly bigger should still fit in the space vacated by the present, puny, Banner battery.

It has a rating of 44 Ah and 390 cranking amps. What, if any, problems would this create for the standard alternator and charging circuit?

I have little understanding of electrics so don't know if this will cause me any problems.

Try looking at the Oddessy range of dry batteries. It isn't gel but a "tissue" design.

I have fitted one to my Rally Car about 6 months ago. It is 24Ah, has 695 Amps cranking power, is 175 x 180 x 74mm and weighs about 6kg. Cost was about £70.
