Mike Molloy
A friend is in the process of building a Westfield, and has fitted a Zetec with twin Webers. It needs an ignition management system, and the current choice is between the Weber Alpha system (which has an inlet air temperature sensor) and an Omex system (which does not). Advice please on which to choose, and what benefits the temp sensor may provide. Thanks, Mike.

Joe 90
An air temp sensor will allow the ignition to be adjusted, possibly with a bit of retard when the air is hot. The Weber Alpha system has an air temp sensor because it is also designed to control fueling, in which case compensation is much more important. I don't really see it as a big selling point for ignition only systems. Easy mapping software is much more important.
