don wilson
Hi all Very new to Caterham land having been an impoverished Dutton owner for some years. Anyway have acquired a 1990 De Dion Supersprint which needs a touch of fettling and so need some advice. Front discs, calipers and pads - any idea what they are from. I am guessing MK 2 escort but before venturing to Cafco I thought I would check. Also rear brakes as well as it may need new shoes having been standing for a bit. Thanks
Big Brother
Front from a Triumph Herald/Spitfire. Try Rimmer Brothers http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/ Or start a wanted thread. Many people upgrade to "Big Brakes" and are left with the parts youre after. Rear brakes will be pads not shoes (drum brakes are a live axle thing) and are from a Ford Sierra Steve Se7en-Up! eric
Hello everybody I don't want to be a black 7 owner but early de dion with trunnions should have them (with the upright) changed before to fit stronger front brakes or at least half link fitted as the front anti roll bar moves under braking and the upright could fail in the trunnion I have experienced that and I would like read something about that before eric
