smutly
I've broken the stem of the main beam light switch ☹️ jumping in the other day with the steering wheel removed. The starter motor had fallen out with the me, so I thought I would try a jump start. I didn't fancy my chances of getting in before I ran out of room Where can I get a new switch? Do I have to go to Caterham? Help

RobM
Isn't it scary how half way between 'main beam' and 'dipped' you have 'complete blackout' 😬 It certainly stopped my indecisiveness after a few cloudy nights where I initiated 'complete blackout' by accident!! - How can such a cute looking car sound so ferocious! -
Chris W
Smutly Caterham only charge £3.00 for the switch which is a pretty decent price and at least it's identical to the one you broke. Chris 1.8K SV 140hp see it here
roger7
I really understand how RobM felt. Had the same experience myself switching between main and dipped on a fast road late at night when new to the car. Somehow the switch stayed in 'neutral' and I was left to find my way off the carriageway and into safety with the piercing beam of the sidelights!! Made me learn to take care switching between main/dipped. Shouldn't the switch be more fail safe than this??
