millsn
How do I run the cables down the tunnel? I can't seem to reach high enough. I can't take the propshaft out as the car is without ngine and on axle stands. I want to run the cable at the top of the tunnel to keep it out of the way of the prop. Can I access the tunnel top somehow?
Swiss_Tony
The centre console comes out easily enough. If you have the centre handbrake it is easier to de-adjust the cable or disconnect it.Remove the gearknob. The centre then just lifts out. EFA
Nigel, What chassis do you have?? Access to the tunnel varies considerably depending on the type (Live Axle or Didion) and the year of manufacture of your chassis. On some DiDions (those pre '96 with padded centre consoles) the whole tunnel top lifts off. On others there is are tow removable alloy sections above the diff nose and the panel through which the gear lever pokes. If you have carpets remove the tunnel carpet and all will be revealed. The its just a coathanger and some patience! Arnie Webb Organiser- L7C Le Mans Trip To book for this years Le Mans Trip see The Le Mans Trip Website Its nearly full!!! millsn
Thanks for the assistance, I finally resorted to the coat hanger, the I read the mails you sent! I've run two wires through as I'm advised you can experience preferential corrosion on the chassis when using the ali as a ground. Chassis is a 92 dedion and I also took the lid off around the gear lever
