DAZ 4
Does anybody know whether when running an early MBE ecu (which was fitted to the early Caterhams running VX 2.0 litre 16V with Weber 45's) you had to use an 8V dizzy or whether you could retain the 16V dizzy off the Vauxhall ? I can only get the MBE to run on the 8V dizzy (Cavalier), even though I can disconnect the Blue plug (from the Siemens amplifier) on the 8V dizzy which was required pre-MBE fitting, so the unit must be getting it's signal from the crankshaft sensor correctly I have read that this unit was developed for Caterham to enable the C20XE to run on 45's and the original 16V dizzy Would a coilpack from SBD etc solve the problem ? Any advice would be greatly appreciated Darren Edited by - DAZ 4 on 30 May 2003 12:50:
