Harry Flatters
As I am soon to be revving to 8k I need a new tacho. I am told by CC that the JPE unit is pretty much the same style as my older 7k VDO one. Steve Mell PTM

Harry Flatters
I would except they are a tad pricey compared to the JPE unit which new, is 125+VAT & I thought I could be a cheapskate and get a 2nd hand one. Steve Mell PTM
Jason Plato
I have'nt bothered upgrading mine whilst reving past 80000 , I find I'm a bit preoccupied to look !! , a sequential shift light is much better in my opinion . dave
Harry Flatters
So a 7k tacho won't blow if revved to 8k+ then. Steve Mell PTM
Mike Bees
The JPE one has quite a difference dial appearance, if that matters. Elliot do a reasonable tacho for 103.50ukp +vat from DT (probably cheaper elsewhere), in 0-8 or 0-10. The cheapest Stack is 158ukp. Mike
Andrew Russell
I use an Elliott Tachometer and whist not identical to the o/e it certainly does not look out of place, is correctly lit at night and also is seemingly well made. Good steady needle across range which is more than I experience when my car had the original VDO guage. I would agree with Dave that when the revs get up to that area, your attention tends to drawn at the fast moving scenery rather than your tacho. Happy Conversions and welcome to real Sevening. Having read your planned conversion, I don't think you will be dissappointed! I have an Xe Vauxhall with about 200+ bhp which I find adequate!
