tom7
I've just fitted PTP TB's and the existing throttle cable is about an inch too long. The adjusting bracket on the TB's can only fine tune before running out of adjustment. I've adjusted the loud pedal in order to make it fit, but this is not ideal. Is there an alternative shorter cable I can use 🤔 Cheers Tom
V7 SLR
Tom, I ended up bending the upper part of the loud pedal to get a rough adjustment, then used the screw at the other end to effect a fine adjustment. I believe that if you compare different loud pedals you would be surprised how inconsistent they are. With this in mind, an inch or so in the throttle cable seems entirely "within tolerance". I'll bring a screwdriver with me to next month's meeting if you want to compare. Otherwise, you're always welcome to pop round. tom7
Thanks Nige, Seems I'll just bend the thing then ❗ Tonight will be start-up night (after I've got some coolant) after a long weekend under and over the car (knackered emoticon) Mildly ported VHPD head, 285H cams and verniers, TB's and Emerald. Fingers crossed Tom
