Englishmaninwales
The accelerator cable has just parted company with the pedal. Is this item a bespoke Caterham item, or is it to be found in another car thus available in Halfords? 1994 K 1.4 Supersport Intake at front of car adjacent to water expansion container Malcolm Hickey
Mr Locust
On my 2002 spec eu3 car it was a mg rover item. E-mail me if you want the part no. and I'll look in the garage.

TomB
Yes the cable is a Rover item. Should you ever need it, the clutch cable is custom Caterham
Englishmaninwales
John thanks. I will see what the cycle shop can do. Tom Oddly enough all the cables seem to be designed to last the same length of time as the clutch cable came adrift 3 weeks ago. The current caterham item is considerably shorter than the original. The effect is an improved feel and lightness to the action. Malcolm
TomB
Apparently the problem Caterham have with the clutch cable is the 180 degree bend over a relatively small radius. You reminded me I must order a spare clutch cable!
Mr Locust
Throttle cable fitted to my 2002 eu3 1600k car is MG Rover part ref SBB10176. The cable has a 'in-line' nipple at the pedal end a 'transverse barrel' nipple at the throttle body end. The tb end also has an adjuster built in.
