StewartG
Any hi fi nuts out there interested in this as new condition power amp. It was UK supplied by Absolute sounds and I still have the original box and instructions. Accepts balanced or single ended inputs and has doubled up speaker outlets for bi-wiring. This is pure class A battleship grade Krell at their best. Genuine upgrade reason fore sale and can demo in a high end system.

Clay Head
I would consider running it with my Musical fidelity XP 100 pre amp. Not too familiar with this amp though. Any figures for power and, more importantly current to drive some old AE1's
StewartG
This is a nominal 80w into 8 ohms amp but tests in magazines found this to be a conservative value and over 100w is available, more importantly the wattage is doubled with every halving of the load impedance this means a true 160w into 4 ohms, 320w into 2 ohms and 640w into 1 ohm. I seem to remember the AE1s are a slightly tricky load for the amp to drive properly and all Krell amps are supreme at this. I'm not familiar with your pre-amp but it will work fine with a single ended connection and even better if it has balanced outputs.Where are you? come and have a listen.
