Powdercoating a rollcage

Griff

Recommended Posts

I bought a nice newly powder coated side impact protection bar.

It was re-coat by a place by the previous owner but he decided not to use it and sold it to me.

The finish is excellent. The resistant to stone chips is NIL.

not sure is this was duff powder coating. If it was not then the whole powder coating things is overated. Caterham's powder coat whilst a bit flakey is more stone chip resistant than the above...

Mike,

I use a powder coating company in my line of work and as a perk of the job they have recoated an FIA bar in yellow for me and all my front suspension bits in black. In addition the have done wing stays which I traded to Blighty. He was more than happy with the finish. We did post a while ago to suggest anyone interested in a quality job should get in touch. They are quoting me min order cost £25 but will depend on component and special colours. Cost of transport might be more expensive though, since we are in Newcastle (upon Tyne).

Let me know if you are interested.

Brian
