Area Representative peewee7 Posted May 18, 2003 Area Representative Share Posted May 18, 2003 I've got hold of some TOP quality Carbon Fibre parts and have never worked with the material, any suggestions regards cutting / drilling holes would be greatly appreciated. pee wee
catflap
B&Q do a dremmil type tool for 15 quid with lots of cutting/milling bits very useful Mask off everything you intend to play with, as its easy to slip and mark the surface I have just fitted pretty much a complete carbon interior to my Westfield and found that as long as you take your time, mask off everything to protect it and keep the drill relatively slow for (helps eliminate it jumping out and cutting the carbon where you don’t want it cut) Its quite easy stuff to work with, just like a sheet of fibreglass Use goggles and mask and latex gloves for protection Riv nuts on the other hand, are the invention of the DEVIL Catflap
