Ralph Morgan
I'm thinking of ditching my ancient Mountney steering wheel in favour of something smaller/more modern (birthday soon, and it seems a good suggestion for a pressie!). Assuming I go for a different brand (Mountney seem a bit naff) can anyone advise what spline fitting I need to specify for the boss? It's a standard (non-Q/R type). Paul Bowden
Ralph, I cannot directly answer your question, but a word of warning. I had some play in my Q/R boss-steering column and had it changed under warranty. The new one had a different number of spines 13 instead of 12 I think. Lesson is they can vary even if the are by the same manufacturer and appear the same from the outside.
