chrisb
Hi, I'm looking to get hold of some red spray paint, to paint a couple of parts to match my car. I'm not bothered about an exact match as the parts are only going to be in proximity of the car. The car is (I think) Caterham red. What off the shelf Halfrauds or similar red is going to be suitable? Ford Radiant red is my guess, any other suggestions? Thanks, Chris
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted May 12, 2003 Leadership Team Share Posted May 12, 2003 Chris, Use Toyota Super (not "Supra") Red. I've used a touch-up brush from Halfords, and also had an aerosol made up by a local paint suppliers. Used it to spray paint where I removed my wheel carrier and it's a near-perfect match. Stu. MartinB
Alfa Romeo red looks fantastic when clean so should be good on a 7.
Leadership Team Mcalvert Posted May 13, 2003 Leadership Team Share Posted May 13, 2003 I had a can mixed for me at a local motor factors, which is pretty much perfect on my car which is standard Caterham Red. The "formula" was apparently: TB40 - 61.0 11-65.3 54-82.4 59-101.7 No ideal what it means, but it did the job! Michael.
