SvenDriver
Anyone in the Bristol area got 1-3 dot fasteners going spare and a tool that I could borrow? I've just bought some whimps and one of the fasteners is about 1cm off for my 7. I also need to fit two new Dots to my Tonnaeau - but that is less important. Griff
I've got a few spare fasteners and borrowed the appropriate tool from another Caterham guy in Malmesbury (just off M4/J17). How soon do you need them?

Simon Dart
Or, if you can't wait, you could try Moss (MG and Triumph spares) I don't have a number but they should be in the phone book. they're right in the middle of Bristol. Simon
DrivRich
If they are the standard fastners used for the boot cover, then I have spares as my kit came with the boot cover ready done. I also have the "cup and rod" thing for hammering them together. I will be at the Bristol and Bath meet on Tuesday 13th in Tytherington and could bring them. I HAVE SVA THAT MORNING so may even be in the Caterham 😬 😬 Dave Saw a 7 Hitched a ride in a 7 Ordering a 7 - Done that now ❗ Will Own a 7 😬 - First Week of 2003 - Got Her Now 😬 😬 Up to the elbows in cardboard and bits 😳 passed Post Build now - SVA in 2 weeks Membership Number 6640
SvenDriver
Dave that would be great! I'll make a mental note to turn up for once with the 7. I'm in the middle of hammerite and waxoyling but should be back on the road by then.
Jason Plato
You can buy them from craft and sewing shops . And you can get the tool to install them . Look in the yellow pages . Dave
SvenDriver
My local Hobbycraft place did a pack of 10 15mm fastener pairs (buttons + recepticle) with punching tool and fitting tool (hammer required) for £5. They are not quite identical to the caterham supplied ones but do the job.
