I have no signifcant run off on my discs, but when I turn my front discs by hand, there is significant changes in friction through the caliper. I am told that it is cementite deposits on the disc giving uneven friction, but no amount of scrubbing with garnet paper has had a significant impact. I am now resigned to skimming the discs or replacing them. I am using Mintex 1144 (I think) pads. Has anybody else had these problems ? Has anyone any stories of skimming that I should know about before I continue ? I want to have this sorted before Lemans. Andy Mac C7 GON 😬 Team Langoustine.
