ChrisC
Hi All I am getting a large amount of pad rattle from my offside AP four pot. I know the AP four pots have no anti rattle springs, and this is to be expected, however I would expect the same amount or rattle from the nearside. In addition, I have a nasty score on the disc picture here. These discs have covered 1.5K road miles since the previous owner had CC upgrade to AP 4 pots. My question is should I replace the front discs, and pads If I am going to replace the discs it will be with drilled items, so can anyone recommend a supplier PS my first Caterham track day is only 3 weeks away 😬 Chris.... STEVE GILBERT
Chris Regarding rattle, I have drilled Std discs and get a slight rattle with Alcon 4 pots that wasnt there before fitting drilled rotors. Just a thought as this may make the rattling worse. HTH Steve See My Zetec Power 7(soon to be sold :0( ) Here
ChrisC
Is there any blat chatters going to the Essex meeting this week, that have the AP four pots? Maybe I can compare the rattle ☹️ to see if is normal. Chris.... H15 SVN Get it !
ChrisC
The thread on the front suspension/dust shield has I think given me the cause of the mark in my disc. This weekend I adjusted and re-greased the wheel bearing on this side, and this bearing had a lot of slack, so I suppose the track rod end has caused the damage to the disc. So my only question is should this be replaced before my first Caterham track day ? Chris.... H15 SVN Get it !
