Removing aeroscreen without taking paint

Steve,

You won't do this without damaging the paint!

The cheese wire metod does not work in all cases. Sometimes the only way to get the screen off is to heat the reverse side of the scuttle panel with a hot air electric blowtorch. The paint is the first thing to give!

The Wurth adhesive used to fix these screens on is very very strong!

If you should be able to remove the aeroscreen without damaging the paint, you could try silicon-sealant-remover afterwards. Used it to remove sealant from my 3piece wheels and it worked a treat. ***ch of a job but worked out in the end. Didn´t attack the paint of the wheels, too.

Cheers Arnie, will I see you at Curborough again ? *thumbup*
