StewartG
On a Vx 16v engine which side of the block is the oil pressure relief valve? Is it on the left, exhaust manifold side or is it under the carbs next to the oil filter and oil pressure sender. Many thanks in advance.
Swiss_Tony
Stewart The relief valve is on the exhaust side of the engine. It is the 22 or 24 mm bolt on the side of the oil pump. If you are removing it it is easier to remove the engine mounting on that side. If you do this remember to thoroughly clean the surrounding area first and make sure no dirt etc gets in there when you replace it. James
Swiss_Tony
Forgot to add that if you are replacing it sbd etc can supply a nylon type valve which is a safe precaution against it getting stuck James
StewartG
Thanks I've investigted the SBD kit but £44 + VAT for a spring, a bolt and a nylon piston seems a rip off.
