roammmm
I red with high interest the topic re. the oil to pour in it... Is the following normal ? : Around 80-100 kph the gear box makes a very loud whistling noise which is even difficult to bear with. This happens when the oil is hot. It is not the DeDion differential that is singing, because the tone changes when I shift from 5th to 6th for example. My car is about 3500 km and that noise seems to get more and more loud. I agree that almost no noise insulation exists between the gearbox and my hears, but I previously owned a 5 speed gearbox which noise had nothing to do compared with the 6 I have now. I really find the noise unbearable, especially that time when I put the hood on What's going on? Emmanuel vvc 11/2002
Jason Plato
Contact Caterham direct , this sounds like the gearbox issue they posted about a few weeks back . Dave
