timbo
Sorry, not caterham related. I need help with a bit of wiring on my sprint car. I need to wire in a fuel pump switch to operate on pre igntion. I have sourced a difficult starting fault to the fuel draining back into the tank over time. 2 options (1). fit non fuel return valve behind pump (2). wire in a fuel pump switch to pressurise pump prior to cranking. I would prefar option 2 as it allows me to scavange the pump & prime. I've wired in switch as follows. 12V power feed taken from igntion to toggle switch earth terminal on switch earthed to chassis. feed to fuel pump with 15amp inline fuse. This wire is soldered into the main fuel pump wiring harness. Problem. It keeps blowing the inline 15A fuse. If I remove the 15A fuse it then blows the main 30A igntion relay fuse. Any idesa? Chris W
Timbo What do you mean by the "earth terminal" on the switch which you have grounded. I suspect the problem lies here. rgds Chris 1.8K SV 140hp see it here
