Nigel Blandin
I should know this by now, but what is the amount of fluid in the system for a full change? 1 litre covers it doesn’t it?

Jonathan Kay
I've checked some documentation from that era.... "As required"! And I can't find anything definitive in the archives beyond 500 to 750 mL. Jonathan

aerobod - near CYYC
For a flush of the brakes and clutch with a combination reservoir, 500ml is enough for my R400D if I’m careful. 1 litre should easily do the job.
Ainsley
When I built my 2024 420R I used 3 bottles, by the time I had bled them, spilled a bit and bled them properly 🙂

The bottle they sent with the kit (1l) was enough for both the brakes and clutch! As it is a new and clean system, anything that came out the bleed nipples could be fed back in again until all air was out (making sure everything used was clean and debris free of course) This was upgraded master cylinder and brakes, sv build. Ainsley
I wasn't happy with the clutch action so did it twice and made a mess of it. Plus I did the brakes twice to be sure there were no bubbles 🙂
Brownmonster
Yeah understood, I did mine about 3 times, I'm just saying its new brake fluid so what came out the nipples could go back in to save wasting good fluid!
Nigel Blandin
Blimey! At £65 a litre for SRF, I’ll make a litre do the job!
