Area Representative Andrew Gilbert Posted August 15 Area Representative Share Posted August 15 Hi all, have my first ali 7 which is at present going through an overhaul. I have cleaned the ali panels, looking a lot better but they feel gritty, I don't want a hyper shine, but I'd like the panels to be smooth to touch, is it a case of now the panels are clean, sanding with progressive grit paper until its relatively smooth then using a polish to protect that surface? Try Autoglym metal polish - the result achieved versus the effort applied seems highly satisfactory to me. Better than Mothers' in my view. Any of that progressive sanding is huge effort on that amount of aluminium.
