ECR
The tubing I have is Caterham supplied and very rigid(I know it has to resist a vacuum). Is there a better friendlier hose to use?
rj
Any hydraulic hose would do. My personal preference is Gates 16G01H - if it's one inch. 16 is 16/16 of an inch G could be for Gates, 01 is one layer of steel and H for high temperature. The high temperature stuff is for some reason more flexible than the non H
ECR
And that won’t collapse under vacuum?
aerobod - near CYYC
Hydraulic hose has typically a steel reinforcement that prevents dimensional change under significant pressure changes and consequently is rigid enough not to collapse under vacuum.
Englishmaninwales
Think Automotive made my replacement dry sump pipes. You just need to supply the detail of lengths you require and the thread/angle of the end fittings. Quick turn around and not a big expense. Colin_T
Aeroquip 400 series is a nice flexible hose to work with, it’s designed to work with their push on hose fittings but I’ve used it in all areas of dry sump systems many times.
