True… not sure of a scrote’s toolkit for nicking cars but you’re right, it’s a reasonable risk that they won’t have an appropriate wheel, even if the bosses are universal! ScottR400D Posted yesterday at 16:58 Share Posted yesterday at 16:58 (edited) When I wanted a new boss for a second wheel I found the standard boss from Lifeline is 180 degrees out compared with the Caterham supplied one. I had to buy a new boss and top shaft from CC. It could well be a boss directly from lifeline might have different splines too. Both my Caterham supplied bosses fit the original shaft in the same orientation; I still have the spare shaft. I always assumed it was another CC deal to stop suppliers supplying customers directly.
