So a party  of 4 cars.

2014,  sigma S3 175bhp+

1998,  1.6k S3  160bhp+

2 x 620s SV

Left UK at 6.50am this morning after frying on the M25 yesterday in slow traffic🥵

Now in Joinville,  France, south of Saint Dizier.

Over 32 degrees today (but felt like 45 in a seven! We all enjoyed the run down really🥴

We have melted multiple times but soon refreshed in the nice air conditioned cafés on route!

The French folk have been soooo very very welcoming - and helped make our day!

Ready for the same again tomorrow!!

Great company.

Simon and Mel Smith

Chris and Joan Harris

I'm looking forward to a trip to the Pyrenees later this year - the need to fill up the tank frequently will be a good reason to stop and eat French Patisseries.

Keep posting up pictures of the trip to annoy us 🙂

Travelling in France, all morning long filling stations and cafes. Around 12, decide to stop at the next one. There never is a next one !! All afternoon. So many trips !

Touring the last fortnight we found most shops including big supermarkets are closed for lunch 1230-1430 every day and all day Sunday.

That's brilliant !

I find it odd the French all seem to drive those bland Peugeots, Citroens, Renaults, but love interesting cars.

I was touring round years ago in my Lotus Elise and got loads of attention.  Stopped at a Wine making place and got given wine by the owner just because I let him sit in it !

That's really cool! My experience in France was a bit different in that literally nobody even seemed to notice I was driving a Caterham, no interest whatsoever until I got back to the port in Roscoff where a big group of Ferrari/Astons/R8s etc arrived at the same time. They basically abandoned their cars and congregated around mine!
