Andy Tims
The audio on my track videos is poor. Cracky & distorted despite using an external mic. It's just a cheap mic laid loose in the little tray where the din power socket is. Can any please recommend a good mic & maybe a better mounting solution please? rgrigsby
I use one of these with this windsock on it, mounted under the dash. This is all connected to a Gopro 7 or 9 using the Gopro USB adapter. You'll probably need an audio extension lead but it seems to work well. Here's a clip from Cadwell Park earlier on the year. Cadwell Park Edit again - Links fixed and updated to say I'm using these with a Gopro Thanks Robert Edited June 23 by rgrigsby

Colin_T
I use a rode lavalier mic with an eBay deadcat on it. This is connected to my GoPro 9 via the media mod. I clip the mic to the bottom edge of the passenger seat, so it’s nice and low out of the wind. I use the race chrono pro app for data overlays with a racebox mini as the GPS source. David JLM
I use an external mic on my 360X3 - inexpensive thing from Amazon: https://amzn.eu/d/05xuLREk I wire it to my rear cycle wing - see pic. It sounds okay - here are a couple of my YouTube videos where I'm using it:
Croc
I went on a journey with my attempts for decent audio on a track day. Have a read here: https://usa7s.net/ips/articles.html/track-days/getting-good-audio-on-your-se7en-for-a-track-day-video-r27/
