Smutly1
On Ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/256544613732 This is the heavy duty box and was in my Caterham until 2016. I swapped it out for a BHG Sport Box but never got around to selling this one! It covered 46500 miles and has no faults. It has a mechanical speed drive I think the ratios are 0.85, 1, 1.26, 1.81, 2.83 Collection only due to its weight On Ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/256545374502 Caterham Petty Strut for S3 with Track Day Bar Used by the previous owner. I never used it as I didn't do any track days. One end bolts to the roll over bar, the other end bolts internally in the passenger area in front of the door. Its quite long and heavy so pick-up only please.
Guy Lowe
Only my opinion, but I don’t think links to eBay should be allowed on here.
7 wonders of the world
I would agree this is a For Sale section not an auction, you could amend you post to add a fixed, probably more chance of selling on here to fellow club member and avoiding the ebay theft, sorry fees too,
Wrightpayne
I enquired about the gearbox, as it was mentioned in another thread, but the OP refused to give a price and wanted me to start the bidding. Edited June 20 by Wrightpayne
DirtBuddha
Completely agree - it’s either for sale on here OR on eBay… not both.
John Vine
5 hours ago, Wrightpayne said: I enquired about the gearbox, as it was mentioned in another thread, but the OP refused to give a price and wanted me to start the bidding. Interesting dilemma. For info, the Guidelines for this forum include this: Please stipulate a price or at least a guide price, for the items you are selling. Clearly, the OP hasn't complied with this -- or does the figure of £500 on the ebay listing suffice? There are two things that make me uneasy about this particular ebay sale: 1. The sole ebay option of "Submit bid". At the very least, I think the listing should include "Make an offer" and "Buy it now". That would bring it more into line with the usual forum standard of: £XX no offers, £XX ono, £XX ovno. 2. The circumvention of the normal forum posts and feedback, where a potential buyer knows who else is interested, and whether second dibs etc are in play. Perhaps the LT could be encouraged to revisit (and beef up?) the present "For Sale" guidelines? JV
Englishmaninwales
Maybe a separate forum heading “Listed For Sale On Other Locations” to allow sellers to list on eBay and the like and for alerts for items for sale?
