EFA
I'll be ripping my engine apart, and have enough bits to build the follwing: Short Vauxhall engine, Turbo crank, steel rods, std pistons machined for Swindon 235 cams, Swindon bearings, cossie bolts, Steel flywheel, Helix clutch cover and several AP paddle plates. A set of £400 piper cams in a std head would give you a 235bhp 8500rpm engine... Block has done 10,000 miles, the rods 2000, pistons etc 6000 Sensible offers please. Arnie Before you ask the present 2.15 litre crank and rods are already sold. Edited by - fast arnie on 31 Dec 2000 17:13:
Swiss_Tony
Arnie Do you have a cyl head? What would you call a sensible offer? James
EFA
James I don't have a head as I'm keeping the one I have. A sensible offer would be in the region of £1000. AW
Alex Wong1697456877
What's a short engine?
Rob Morris
Alex, A "Short engine" is everything from below the cylinder head downwards. (ie block, piston, crank, sump etc etc). Sounds like a good buy to me. If only I wasn't moving house!
EFA
Only it does not include the sump........ AW

Unless i can convince someone to buy my Omega lightweight pistoned but otherwise standard and recently fully stripped down and rebuilt short engine. Alex Wong1697456877
Arnie, Would you be interested in selling individual bits? If so, how much for the rods, flywheel and clutch on their own? I could part ex my standard components if you wanted. Alex Edited by - Alex Wong on 4 Jan 2001 00:11:
CHRIS CLARK
Alex. If it was a 'K' I'd be interested, but knowing you it'll be V/X, yes?

EFA
Alex The rods flywheel clutch and CRANK are a balanced set. If you have a good crank to swap I'll do these bits for £500 I've enough bits then to build a short engine.... Alex Wong1697456877
Arnie, Have thought long and hard about it and come to the conclusion that I can't afford the bits at the moment. I have an impending financial commitment that will become obvious round about May..... wink.gif. It's a shame though. I know how rare such opportunities can be. Thanks anyway.
