Rupert939
I have a 1.4 ss 1996 limited edition. My tacho is working intermitantly. I have done the usual and had it out checking all the connections etc., but it is still going on. It is now dead but sometimes comes to life if I have a real wiggle if the green wire into the back. Has the tacho gone or is is wiring?
stevefoster
Mine did this one track. The push on contact needed removing from the connector block and crimping / the barb that keeps it in the block needed bending more to catch properly. One alt. is to loose the block altogether as it is only 3 connector as long as you write up which wire goes where. My racing pics, 7 DIY, race prep. Chris W
The green wire is the +12v supply to the tacho. If you wiggle it and the tacho works intermittently, I would say definitely it's just a bad connection not a bad tacho.
