needmorecash
I love my 1991 Dedion Car but, the rear brakes tend to lock up before the fronts more often than not. Anybody have the same problems !!! Any feedback would be brilliant as I am fairly new to this light weight car game Cheers
Anthony
Hi, having converted to big brakes, I now have the opposite ( 1990 dedion )and have fitted larger Master Cyl to correct this and revised pads for the rear You could try a brake bia kit. James Whiting does one which I understand reduces balance to the rears - happy to stand corrected on this Regards Anthony No engine, but 4 wheels... Chris K
might not it just be easier to get some better pads at teh front??? Peter Carmichael
Racers strive to get too much braking at the back (for dry conditions) so that they can adjust it out with a proportioning valve. Attention to the pad spec will fix this cheaply.
KenEvans
I fitted an adjustable pressure limiting valve into the brake pipe going to the rear of the car. It sits right next to the master cylinder bolted to the pedal box rear cover. It seems to work a treat and I believe the braking is even better now because the fronts are getting a chance to do their stuff. V7 SLR
Anthony, the larger master cyl won't help re-biasing the brake proportion. It acts equally on front and rear, as does the original master cyl. Martin S.
I did the same as Ken with mine and fitted an adjustable pressure reducing valve. Fixed the problem for £50. BRG Dedion 2Ltr Zetec on 45's
