MisterB
Hi all and sorry if this has been asked before. After 2 years of hunting I finally have somewhere to keep a Caterham so am on the lookout for a 420R. While it will be mainly road use, I want to do some club track days (to hopefully learn to drive thing rather than thinking I can!). Some of the cars I have found have RBTBs fitted. Does anyone know if this will cause a track day noise problem over a standard 420R? Thanks in advance. It's an excellent question, but I suggest that you edit the original post so that the Subject gives a hint about the subject. That might help in attracting the people who know the answer. : - ) Previous discussions. Jonathan Edited November 8, 2023 by Jonathan Kay
Ainsley
They tend to also come with an airbox to mitigate the noise. Most of the cars with RBTB's will have had them fitted with track days in mind, so should also have taken noise into consideration. But worth checking with the seller for proof that they were acceptable at a track day.

DirtBuddha
Unfortunately noise restrictions have become tighter at a lot of circuits... 92dB static now at many, with some still at 105dB. Thruxton is just 90dB. 🥴 Edited November 9, 2023 by DirtBuddha
