Tech guide for fuel lines and hoses please?

Could we have one?

A failed fuel line can have devastating consequences  (fire and death for example) and the information is very confusing, even conflicting. Some say "don't worry" and others say very different.

My R14 arrived today.

my goodness that is comprehensive. A tech guide need only carry the link to it.

That said it only goes to R9. Uncertain about that detail.

It doesn't help at all in the core problem.  We don't know of any rubber hose spec that will last R6, R9 or R14.  It strikes me that the whole industry is in denial of the problem!

edit: incidentally it seems hose made by GATES passes muster because they do not use "cheap" rubber. My R14 (due thanks to 7wow for that hint)  is from them as is my Gates 3225 (i i r c) which I am told is R7 (search as I might I was never able to find this)
