MattGrant
I'd like to replace the standard number plate with the kind of individual grill-mounted numbers and letters of the sort that you'd typically see on an Elan. Does anyone know of someone who could make these? I've tried several firms that work with injection moulded plastic, but no joy so far. Thanks! Toby S
Wouldn't surprise me if they weren't just plastic house letters and numbers from a DIY shop. Word of caution though - unless the car is pre 1973, in all likelihood the number plate would be illegal as it wouldn't be on a white background and would be non reflective and might get a copper licking his pencil. MattGrant
I'm sure you're right about the illegality, Toby. Maybe it's not such a good idea. Having said that, though, you do see a fair number of obviously illegal plates.... Regards Matt

Toby S
Hi Matt - I agree re plenty of illegal plates - mine on the 7 is a sticky one over the nose cone which is questionable and I've had no problems in 5 years
Atelier
Thought you were okay up to ‘79….which is what I read when enquiring about having some made for a T reg…
Nigel Blandin
You just get the individual letters and numbers. They used to be held on by those little sprung star clips.
