Tony G
We have just bought our first Caterham, it is a 2003 120 Roadsport SV and will currently have the standard break callipers and new pads as we bought it after being worked on by Turn 7. However we are going to be taking the car on track days hence know we will be going through break pads and would like to be able change them at home. Can anyone point us in the right direction for instructions how to change the pads and what would we need to do it? Advice on where to get pads from would also be appreciated. Sorry for what fear is a question akin to 'how do I fill my washer bottle' but this is a whole new world to us. Thanks. TG
Member Jonathan Kay Posted October 19, 2023 Member Share Posted October 19, 2023 (edited) Welcome. The best guide that I know on replacement and maintenance is from Alcester Racing Sevens. (This is now on the Wayback Machine.) On choice of pads I recommend searching the archives. And on where to find any parts: start with Redline for both advice and supply. Area Representative Paul Richards Posted October 20, 2023 Area Representative Share Posted October 20, 2023 Tony. If you need any help with maintenance. LADS will help and have plenty of tools for you to borrow. If you are on standard brakes I would suggest Mintex 1144 pads for the front calipers.

Jonathan Thankfully Turn 7 had one and gave it to me, I must admit I was really pleased but at the moment it might as well be the instructions for a rocket! That said I am loving the experience.
