Francois Persoons
I'm just finish to restore my Seven S2. A detail now, I'm looking for a picture (or a draw) of the petrol gauge rod. Is that rod in wood or in metal ? Here is somebody to help me ? Regards from François (Belgium).
JAG
I am under the impression that the original Sevens didn't have a fuel guage. I believe that Colin Chapmans approach was that any clean stick could be used as a dipstick - could this be the origin of your "petrol gauge rod" ?? Any one else care to confirm or otherwise this piece of Seven folk law? Justin
Bare
If memory serves.. it was a mostly unpainted flat stick with a red painted bottom and a white full and half line.. long enoght to touch tank bottom and still hold the end. You can figure out where full and half should be :-).
