Skipper555 Posted October 5, 2023 Author Share Posted October 5, 2023 Caerbont have replied and said it looks like corrupted software and as it's still a current design (I think it's newer than the one in my car) they can strip and reprogram it for me for about £40 plus carriage and VAT. Will take about 3 to 4 weeks with their current workload, so considering I still have a working unit in the car in terms of speedo I'll get it sent off. Will do a quick test with the replacement unit to check it does read the speed OK too before sending it. Pleased with the response from them for that. Skipper555 Posted December 13, 2023 Author Share Posted December 13, 2023 I caught up with Caerbont today and unfortunately the speedo is irreparable as basically all the innards are obsolete.
