BigCol
As above; if so, what advice would you give?As I have a bespoke screen, a standard SBF7's wouldn't be appropriate, and (famous last words!) how hard could it be to make? This material (first black/silver colour option) looks be the stuff to use. Wrightpayne
A previous club member made up a cover out of tent material before shower caps were a thing with elastic straps. IIRC he put the fabric on wrong side up, pinned the corners / fold lines and his wife ran it through the sewing machine. You could try and find a local tent repairer? Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted September 9, 2023 Area Representative Share Posted September 9, 2023 Yes, Colin I have. And, no, it isn't particularly difficult. See you on 16 Sept? I'll bring it along (although I expect to tske the 21 with me). That material looks like the Soft Bits choice.

7 wonders of the world
Or ask Jill @ SBFS to make you one, they are very helpfull when it comes to custom tweeks.
Area Representative Paul Richards Posted September 11, 2023 Area Representative Share Posted September 11, 2023 Yes. I made the very first shower cap. I used some material supplied by Jill Judd of SBFS. It was thinner than that now used by them. Worked OK but SBFS improved it by making the attachment to the car more secure. Nick Berry
I was planning on making one after loosing patience with the full hood - this post just gave me the extra nudge I needed. Having no skills or experience in this area I'm not sure how best to make the pattern. Perhaps use the full hood as a template? Any tips would be great. I'm going with the material already recommended. Thanks, Nick
Area Representative Paul Richards Posted September 11, 2023 Area Representative Share Posted September 11, 2023 I draped material over the car with "outside" down. Folded to shape and used pins to hold in position. Then trimmed excess material and sewed. Then turned inside out for use. Hope you can understand. Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted September 11, 2023 Area Representative Share Posted September 11, 2023 Nick, I didn't use or make a pattern but did write up what I did. I included something of what I would change if repeating the exercise.I hadn't looked at a Softbits example, I worked from first principles and what I was confident I could achieve.LowFlying December 2019.
