Has Anyone Ever Made Their Own Showerhood?

Yes. I made the very first shower cap. I used some material supplied by Jill Judd of SBFS. It was thinner than that now used by them. Worked OK but SBFS improved it by making the attachment to the car more secure.

I was planning on making one after loosing patience with the full hood - this post just gave me the extra nudge I needed. Having no skills or experience in this area I'm not sure how best to make the pattern. Perhaps use the full hood as a template? Any tips would be great. I'm going with the material already recommended.

Thanks, Nick

Nick, I didn't use or make a pattern but did write up what I did. I included something of what I would change if repeating the exercise.

I hadn't looked at a Softbits example, I worked from first principles and what I was confident I could achieve.

LowFlying December 2019.  (it's in the archive if you weren't a member at that time).
