Hi Guys and Girls,

I am about to retro fit a set of individual primary exhaust pipes to my 2014 Duratec roadsport 175.  As standard my car has the single exhaust pipe exiting through the drivers/right hand  side panel.

What i am looking for is the measurements to enlarge the hole for the 4 individual pipes through the side panel.

Is it possible for anyone who has an SV/large chassis duratec engine with the 4 individual exhaust pipes to measure down from the engine number stamped chassis tube to the top of the opening for the exhaust exit and also from the lower rear, front suspension A arm cutout back to the front of the exhaust exit cutout?

Does that make any sense.

Hi Dave,

Tricky measurements to take so I took some photos which I hope helps - first one is from the primaries port to teh underside of the chassis tube. Second is from the primaries port to the wishbone port:

These measurements are for my 2008 S3 so may not be a lot of help, although some of them may also apply to an SV (especially the 185mm):

Rear of lower wishbone cut-out to front of exhaust cut-out = 335mm.

When I fitted a 4 primary exhaust to my k series replacing the single pipe that exited the bodywork I offered up one of the primaries and trimmed the bodywork bit by bit until it fitted when fully bolted to the head. I then moved on to the next primary. Do the primaries one by one individually and you should have an exact hole.

Be careful using the scuttle as a datum point as their position can vary, normal process is fit the nose, then the bonnet to the nose and scuttle to the bonnet.... hence the variation.

you may want to transfer these from a chassis rail at the front etc and then drop them vertically form the top chassis rail
