Graham Hutton
they do look pretty good. I think I'll get a set! Thanks for the show and tell!
PlastererPete
That’s how mine looked but wasn’t happy having that recess, so got some 20mm tall ones so the stud finished flush-ish with the nut. Either way the black wheels nuts still look good against the anthracite wheels.
lapsedtheorist
@PlastererPete Any chance you could share a link to the 20mm tall ones you've bought (and a photo of them in place)? I'd quite like something along these lines, but haven't been able to find any 20mm ones, only the 25mm ones linked earlier on eliseparts or equivalent. They were only off ebay and were comparatively priced really. 20mm black wheel nuts

lapsedtheorist
Here’s a before and after on my car for the black wheel nuts linked above (‘scuse the colour balance, my phone seems to believe the car is red)

PlastererPete
5 hours ago, Brownmonster said: Do you have a photo so people can easily compare against the longer version I have? Sure do. This is the front wheel. Rear wheel has a thread showing through the nut. So the ideal would be a mix and match of both sets really. Its purely down to aesthetics:-
Graham Hutton
and to add further to the dilemma I see that these are also available https://www.eliseparts.com/shop/wheels-and-tyres/16-x-lightweight-wheel-nuts-tapered-closed/ They look pretty much the same as our standard nuts but in black coated Alloy. I'm not sure what I think about alloy nuts? Anyone have any experience of them?
