SM25T Posted July 10, 2023 Share Posted July 10, 2023 Is this the little black button behind the steering wheel ? Not sure what vintage you have. From memory when I removed mine I held the switch body and turned the outer bezel with pliers then fingers. Or hold the bezel and turn the switch body to release it, then unscrew the bezel. David aka Blue7 Posted July 13, 2023 Share Posted July 13, 2023 Alan, just unscrew the circular nut at the rear of the dash, you are correct in what you say (see below). However, I would agree with Jonathan, the fault may be the horn in which case consider upgrading to twin snail klaxon horns as recommended here somewhere, a vast improvement over the Caterham "beep".David Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Drumster Posted July 13, 2023 Share Posted July 13, 2023 Alan,Just experienced the very same with my horn (MoT on Monday ). After checking switch, relay and borrowing a horn (similar to the above snail horn) from a neighbour's MGB I've proved that the horns have simply given up the ghost, they were 17 years old, so I've bought some from Amazon for delivery Saturday.
