Rich.E
I'm going to replace the dash panel on my 2010 S3, as the current one has dents, extra holes & is faded where stickers have been been on.My question is - What size rivets are used on the scuttle? Thanks

Member Jonathan Kay Posted July 2, 2023 Member Share Posted July 2, 2023 Have you considered wrapping the existing dash?Jonathan
Rich.E
It's the rivets in the scuttle I want to replace as I intend to remove this to fit the dash. I did think about wrapping the existing dash, but it has a big dent on the passenger side and an extra hole the previous owner put in.
Wrightpayne
My imperial chassis mainly uses 5/32 / 4mm rivets.
Wrightpayne
Which rivets on the scuttle do you mean? Single rivets at each tail end by the door aperture or the multiple rivets between the curved top and vertical panel in the engine bay?If the latter many people (incl me) replace with ally rivnuts / allen bolts to make the scuttle easy to remove.I also replaced the two end rivets with rivnuts along with the two with poppers on the scuttle top.
