Drumster
There are 2 types of rear ARB; over the diff mounting and under the diff mounting. I think you have the over the diff version which is shorter. Don't know when Caterham changed but my '93 de Dion used to have an over the diff mounting and when I had my chassis modified for the under diff mounting I had to source a 2nd hand ARB which was longer
jody391
Are there any advantages/disadvantages of an over the top anti roll bar?It would make more sense that that is why its smaller.Has anyone any fitting guides for this over the top style to look at?Cheers, Jody. Jonathan Kay
Both the earliest and the current Assembly Guide for Sigmas have it going under the diff.Jonathan
Jonathan Kay
From 2002:"Is the roadsport rear anti roll bar the same as the superlight? The roadsport is mounted above the de-dion and the superlight mounting is on the bottom chassis rail."Jonathan
JP
Just been rebuilding my rear. Here's a pic of the mounting:There is a plate with fixed threads which passes down from above inside the seat belt mounting box. These then pass down through the mounts for the bar. The other end attaches to link pieces which at the bottom are screwed into the back of the radius arm bolt - special bolts with the head drilled and tapped.Does that help? jody391
The place I have bought it from I believe understand it's the wrong bar sent.mine looks a lot different to that construction around the shock.here..

JP
I think you're just missing the seat belt box.Why not just exchange the ARB if you've already got lower mounts fitted? The disadvantage of the over the diff type is that it's near impossible to get the ARB in or out with the diff in place (std diff). There is very little clearance.
