Mike Bees
You'll need a licence (duh), a bit of yellow tape on the battery earth lead, and a timing strut. Don't forget to take all your documentation (licence, insurance certificate, MOT certificate) as it will (usually) be checked when you sign on. Super_Rich_Bernie
A timing strut, some yellow tape around the battery earth lead, and a sticker to mark the ignition switch or electrical cut out. Plus some mumbers for the side of the car. The scrutineer will want a pound off you for a helmet approval sticker. Jonathan
robmar
on the helmet approval issue - do you have to get it checked every year 🤔
Graham Perry
Don't forget the secondary throttle return springs, see recent thread. Roll bar must have a diagonal, tyres must be correct for your class, overalls must meet current rules (blue book) . Some places want you to tape your lights , others don't
robmar
I think you must have some sort of screen either full, jpe, vaux racer etc rob
Paul Ranson
on the helmet approval issue - do you have to get it checked every year Your helmet is checked at every event. It must meet the appropriate standard, be in adequate condition and have a sticker. If it doesn't have a sticker but is otherwise OK the scrutineer will apply one for a modest fee. A year or so ago the approval stickers changed and all helmets had to have new ones attached. This service was being offered by the scrutineers at late events the season before the new stickers were required, so that was fairly painless. Paul M, if you need to resolve specifics give me a ring. Top tip... Apparently many people omit to attach a photo and sign their licences before the first meeting, because this can be checked it will be. PAUL MARRIOTT
Got the documents (somewhere), license signed and mug shot in place. Got some yellow tape. Got a sticker saying ing sw. here. Got a diagonal and petty strut on the roll bar. Got a screen. Got tape for the lights. Timing strut in the post. Caterham tell me I don't need secondry throttle spring?? So provided I CAN find my documents I should be OK. Oh have to get some numbers. Many thanks gents Paul M.
Mike Bees
You don't need extra throttle springs on a stock K-series. Mike
