jody391
On my Lotus I had Stahlbus speed bleeders and they are blinking mega! Easy to use, simple on your own and allow a mega peddle to be setup. But does someone know the std front (Girling I believe) caliper bleed nipple size and length?and also the rear caliper nipple thread size and length?cheers, Jody. Area Representative jonsymons Posted May 31, 2023 Area Representative Share Posted May 31, 2023 No idea...but I recently had my front (Girling Type 12) calipers refurbished by Bigg Red (www.biggred.co.uk) and I'm sure a call to them would get you all the info/bits you need. Speak to James.
rkeywood
Part no for Girling Type 12 caliper bleed nipple is 601959 - it's a 3/8" x24TPI 'long pattern'

ScottR400D
Do Stahlbus do one in the right size for a 7? Edit: apparently yes but almost £30 EACH!? Don't think I'll bother......
TheArchitect
Did you succeed with sourcing Stahlbus speed bleeders?Looking around I think my 2007 front brakes need 3/8" and the rears are M10x1.0 but I haven't been able to get this 100% confirmed yet!https://www.demon-tweeks.com/uk/stahlbus-speed-bleeder-valve-245978/
jody391
I couldn't find them, or the length required.I don't mind £30 as it's so much simpler and you get an amazing peddle so easy!but without pulling mine out I can get the correct measurements. JP
Are these significantly better than an eezibleed?

jody391
Ok so if I am right (please check if you can anyone?) these for the front - Buy Stahlbus Speed Bleeder Valve | Demon Tweeks (demon-tweeks.com) And the rear.. M10 x 1.0 but what length??Jody.
SM25T
DT £120 for a set of 4 (and then all 4 the same thread). Also shown as a 'clearance' item, so maybe not being supplied for much longer ?
jody391
But surely the threads and length wont be correct if you get all 4 the same??Is this something you have done buddy?Jody.
SM25T
#12 ... that is precisely my point. You would have to buy 2 sets of 4 and share with another car ! Not for me.
jody391
If you click N/A instead of a colour you can chose just 2, the thread length is however only 22mm long for the fronts?Buy Stahlbus Speed Bleeder Valve | Demon Tweeks (demon-tweeks.com) And the m10 x 1 are only 20mm in length??Buy Stahlbus Speed Bleeder Valve | Demon Tweeks (demon-tweeks.com)If this looks correct i will purchase and give them a try.Jody. SamC
Has anyone tried the Goodridge speed bleeders? Half the price and seem to get good reviews elsewhere…
jody391
I have these on my F31 BMW, and work well. Not as nice as the Stahlbus bleeders but ok. Jody.
